Vogue at Home.

Vogue at Home with House of Ghetto.

Mother of Manchester’s infamous House of Ghetto, Darren Pritchard, was commissioned to create two online vogue classes for our Pride in Trafford micro festival.

ADULT VOGUE CLASS.

This highly stylised form of dance was created by the black and latino LGBTQ+ community in Harlem, New York. Emerging from the club scene of the 80s, participants of vogue are encouraged to explore the representation of, and free themselves from, gender-normative roles.

This recorded workshop gives an opportunity to explore the moves of vogue – spinning, dipping, and werqqqqing to achieve a short piece of choreography. As well as discovering ballroom culture and voguing, you will also learn the history and context of the art form, and the fundamentals of Vogue Femme.

Recommended age for this event is 14+.

FAMILY VOGUE CLASS.

Are your kids ready to be fabulous, celebrate and pose pose pose!?

Inspired by the vogue ballroom scene of the 80s, House of Ghetto’s Darren Pritchard runs a high-energy, kid-friendly recorded session to teach the whole family the basics of voguing, to let it all out, have fun and pose your own house at home.

Recommended age for this event is 5-13.

Why not do the class with some friends? Get a time in, setup a Zoom session and take part in the class together.
